Shop Assembly and Framing Technician

Job Description

Express Employment Professionals in Lynchburg is seeking a Shop Assembly and Framing Technician for one of its valued clients in the Lynchburg area. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with framing or carpentry experience who can work with precision and consistency in a fast-paced shop environment. Skills and Experience Requirements

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
• Strong framing or carpentry background preferred—higher pay for these skills
• Ability to take and pass the Industrial Skills Test, with emphasis on measuring
• Blueprint reading is a plus but not required
• Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-focused

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and prepping materials for large-scale commercial units
• Perform accurate measurements and cuts using shop tools and equipment
• Support framing and fabrication processes according to specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow production instructions and quality guidelines

Pay and Schedule

Pay ranges from $16 to $20 per hour depending on proven skills and experience. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Saturday shifts are extremely rare and strictly voluntary. To apply, come by Express Employment Professionals Monday-Friday 10am-3pm and get set up.
