Your Role

The Healthcare Quality & Affordability (HQA) Technical Communications Team is responsible

for working with documentation owners, subject matter experts, and business partners to

develop and maintain operational policy and procedural documentation used for staff member

reference, training, auditing, and future-state policy and process development. The Senior

Technical Communicator will report to the Technical Communications Manager. In this role you

will design, develop, deliver, and evaluate technical communication and knowledge

management solutions and/or programs that enable the adoption of new/changing and

sustainable capabilities for business and/or operational needs. You will produce, maintain, and

assess the storage systems and documentation, including policies and procedures used by

operations.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Enable the development and deployment of technical/operational communications that

assist with front-line operational knowledge

  • Be responsible for creating and updating technical documentation/knowledge assets

including policies & procedures

  • Employ appropriate development methodologies to ensure that knowledge assets are

relevant, readily understandable, and easily accessible

  • Ensure knowledge assets are accurate by testing instructions through audit process, and

chair-siding with end users and experts

  • Work with selected individuals, throughout the organization to build trusted and trusting

relationships and facilitate document work• Work with enterprise trainers and quality auditors to ensure documentation meets

training delivery and internal auditing needs

  • Work independently and manage individual timelines, assignments, and work plans
  • May manage projects requiring the responsibility of delegating work and reviewing

resulting work product

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires strong writing and editorial skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have extensive experience with Microsoft Word
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements desired
  • Experience with FS Pro, Share Point, HTML, and Microsoft Excel desired
