This exciting and challenging role is responsible for improving, developing, and creating sequencing kits and/or end-to-end workflows for the Oxford Nanopore sequencing platforms.
Oxford Nanopore’s sequencing platform is the only technology that offers real-time analysis, in fully scalable formats from pocket to population scale, that can analyse native DNA or RNA and sequence any length of fragment to achieve short to ultra-long read lengths. Our goal is to enable the analysis of any living thing, by anyone, anywhere!
Reporting to the Principal Development Scientist, we are looking for a Development Scientist to join our Sample Technology team.
The role involves developing and delivering novel applications, protocols, and workflows to our growing customer base. The successful candidate will create, develop, and test DNA and RNA library preparation methods compatible with our pioneering sequencing devices, such as the MinION and PromethION, facilitating optimal downstream analysis for sample-to-answer workflows.
The job holder will become an authority on DNA and RNA library preparation techniques for nanopore sequencing.
