A caregiver in this role works varying shifts between 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. with weekend requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform registration and obtain demographic, insurance, medical and financial information.
• Crosstrain to all areas of patient access, such as front desk, admitting office, ED, and cash register.
• Function as a Super User and a resource for training of new caregivers.
• Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of experience in a customer facing role OR an associate’s degree and one year of experience OR a bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders OR completion of course within one year
• Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
• In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
• In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
