Profile Description

We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Vice President) Quality Engineering Lead for Middle Office Platform.

WM Technology

Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.

Middle Office Platforms

Middle office is a core foundation for E*TRADE. It provides the platform with key capabilities to support customer digital journey from opening an account, funding the account, trade and order management, portfolio/balances and risk management on all digital channels. It also provides the capabilities for E*TRADE B2B stock plan business to manage participants lifecycle.

Quality Engineering Lead

This is Vice President Position for Quality Engineering Lead with expertise in test automation framework, managing larger QE teams, creating program level test plans and building long term test strategy and roadmap.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Required Skills:

  • 12+ years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation or backend application development.
  • At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
  • 5+ years of people management experience including hiring, onboarding, coaching, mentorship and performance management.
  • Hands on experience in creating test automation framework, creating program level test plans and building long term test strategy and roadmap.
  • Hands on experience of programming concept such as OOPs in scripting languages like Java, Python and JavaScript
  • Hands on experience of writing, maintaining automated APIs tests written in Java, Python using various open-source testing libraries like, REST Assured, etc.
  • Hands on experience on data reconciliation and batch test automation
  • ETL testing exposure is preferred.
  • Hands on experience with one or more querying languages such SQL (preferred), Oracle, MySQL and/or No SQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB etc).
  • Hands on experience in automating backend REST services including writing custom functions using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Selenium, playwright, Jmeter, Ready API etc.
  • Hands on experience of working with continues integration tools such Jenkins, Teamcity
  • Able to independently create and maintain automation test jobs using tools such as Teamcity, Jenkins.
  • Hands on experience working with source code management tools such as GitLab, GitHub,
  • Hands on experience of creating test reports from automation test run using tools such as cucumber report, Extent report etc.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and evolving technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Hands on experience of virtualizing services for test automation
  • Experience of working in distributed agile teams using agile frameworks such as SCRUM
  • Financial Industry, particularly Equities, Options, Fixed Income and Futures trading and market data knowledge preferred.
  • Collaboration skills to work with global senior stakeholders, build trusted partnerships
  • Self driven and flexible
  • Ensuring team improves continuously
  • Experience in risk management, productivity enhancement, innovation
  • Impactful communication, sharp decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent leadership skills with people management (including consultants)
  • Experience with CO-pilot is preferred.
