About the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ISBVI):
The Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired has substantial knowledge and experience in educating students to master the core curriculum and expanded curriculum that teaches them how to navigate their physical, social, and personal worlds. Our expertise is accessed and used by local educators to improve the education of all of Indiana's children who are blind or have low vision. Because of its strong reputation, the school attracts highly qualified administrators, educators, and students from other states whose parents move to Indiana so their children can attend. ISBVI is in the process of implementing a strategic plan to transition to a new, state-of-the-art campus.
Role Overview:
The Expanded Core Support Staff will assist in the implementation of the Expanded Core Curriculum across instructional, residential, and outreach settings at ISBVI. Under the direction of the Assistant Director of the Expanded Core Curriculum and in collaboration with Blind and Low Vision Specialists, classroom teachers, and dorm staff, this role provides hands-on support to promote student access, independence, and community readiness.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $34,216.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
