We are seeking to hire a results driven Banner Business Analyst to work onsite at Otterbein University in Columbus, Ohio. As a Business Analyst, you will be a key member of the IT Services team, reporting to the Director of Application Services. Your primary role will be to provide support for the stakeholders of the enterprise resource planning system (ERP) to achieve desirable business outcomes. To do this, you’ll utilize a broad set of functional and technical skills to provide services that add value and enable the university to meet its evolving business goals.
Where you will make an impact
- Working closely with Senior Business Analyst and the IT user support team to receive, escalate and fulfill incoming service requests from ERP users.
- Partnering with Business Analysts, functional stakeholders and other technical service providers to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve problems and errors.
- Advising functional stakeholders and teams regarding the functional and technical capabilities of ERP systems.
- Assisting Business Analysts to understand business objectives, perform requirements analysis, process analysis and modeling.
- Design workflows and solutions to meet requirements.
- Participating on project teams to implement new software features, releases and products, and to reengineer ERP related business processes to achieve desired project outcomes on-time and on-budget.
- Contributing to institutional knowledge by engaging end users with a growing library of ERP related documentation including training materials, vendor documentation, internal and external policies, business practices, procedures and other related information that intersects with the operations of the ERP.
What you will bring
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a primary support for a customer’s student, finance, or human resources information system (Banner), customer relationship management system (CRM), learning management system (LMS), managed reporting system (MRS), or another major component of the customer’s ERP.
- The knowledge, ability and experience to support a diverse set of customers using a portfolio of integrated software products to conduct their core business activities.
- Superior technical skills and knowledge of common software applications used in a higher education setting, with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience and documented ability to turn program requirements and specifications into code.
- Develop integrations using common integration patterns and otherwise develop, manage and maintain technical solutions.
- Ability to speak and write accurately, clearly and concisely, and to target oral communication and written materials to intended audiences.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- A technical knowledge of IT systems, especially cloud computing, relational databases, reporting tools, and programming languages will be necessary to complete assigned duties.
