Department: Warehouse Operations

Location: Macon, GA

Shift: Monday-Friday 5:00 pm-1:30 am

What you will do:

  • Responsible for leading a team of associates to achieve a variety of goals, including: productivity, problem resolution, outstanding customer service, employee relations (motivation and development), and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Manage approximately 10-20 associates in a dynamic distribution, fulfillment, and/or packaging environment
  • Be site safety champion: track MHE audits, perform monthly/quarterly safety audits, investigate safety incidents, and conduct safety training for new hires.
  • Act as site Lean champion: Tracking lean training and projects for the campus and conducting Lean 101 training classes
  • Perform campus KPI reporting, monitor dashboards for all accounts, and develop productivity reporting
  • Develop and maintain SOP's for each account and function
  • Ensure acceptable levels of profitability in the assigned business unit by meeting or exceeding productivity standards and cost control management
  • Ensure exceptional customer service key performance indicators (order fill rate accuracy, unannounced inspections, inventory accuracy, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment by meeting or exceeding SCLS corporate safety goals
  • Promote constant and measureable improvement; teach and enforce SCLS’ Quality Policy at all times
  • Effectively communicate SCLS goals, expectations, areas for improvement, and successes to associates
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff within the department
  • Personally coach, train, and mentor direct reports in order to ensure personal growth and career development

Our ideal candidate will have……

  • High School or GED required.
  • Assist our wide range of clients with the needs and demands of their supply chains
  • 2+ years of previous experience in a leadership role with a track record of implementing and managing change
  • Listening skills and strong abilities to collaborate, communicate, and motivate others to accomplish goals
  • Demonstrated success in problem-solving and decision-making to overcome obstacles and maximize opportunities
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while focusing on exceeding operational goals
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills, agility, and ability to be cross-trained to do more where needed
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, web-based, and job-specific software applications
  • Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals by listening, sharing ideas, and appreciating others’ efforts
  • Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; possess solid judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and set priorities
  • Ability to build a cohesive team that exemplifies SCLS’ values and operates to support SCLS’ mission statement
  • Experience leading safety initiatives and performing site safety audits
  • Lean Six Sigma and/or continuous improvement training and experience
  • Ability to track KPI's, develop productivity reports, and monitor dashboards
  • Ability to create and maintain SOP's

It’s not required, but it would be even better if you have…

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement training and experience
  • Supply chain/logistics experience is a plus, but not required
  • Technical savvy (intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based, and job-specific software applications.
