About the role

Leading on the development and delivery of one of our transformation initiatives, this role offers the opportunity to lead for change and deliver strategic growth in a collaborative environment.

Working as part of the broader Healthcare Development & Public Affairs team, you will work across the business and matrix partners to develop and deliver our exciting pipeline of development plans that align with our Boots Health growth strategy.

With some live initiatives in flight, this role offers the opportunity to build and deliver one of the broadest development plans in Health, taking the learnings from our test of concepts through to briefing and delivering a transformative experience at Boots for our customers and our people.

Reporting into the Head of Healthcare Development, you will bring new ideas to initiatives with a growth mindset and collaborative approach, with a focus and passion for delivering customer experiences.

You will bring an ability to excite and engage others on new opportunities to enable testing and learning at pace, whilst also building considered business cases that drive incremental revenue generation for Boots.

Key responsibilities

Our current priorities mean that your first few months responsibilities would look like:

  • Leading a live development initiative with the support of a team, including one direct report to take it from test of concept to trial
  • Learning from SME's across the business to build knowledge around multiple propositions from in store environment to people models, commercial propositions to operations
  • Engaging partners across the business to develop a brief for future growth to transform our in-store customer experience
  • Deliver pitch documents/presentations to senior stakeholders, internally and externally, including C-suite level executives
  • Supporting the healthcare leadership team in the engagement of the growth strategy
  • Being a custodian for healthcare innovation whilst being focused on areas that are both commercially viable and strategically aligned with the broader Boots strategy

What you'll need to have

  • Strong proven experience in strategy development and/or project management
  • An agile mindset with the ability to turn insights into action
  • Desire to pro-actively build relationships, communicate with and manage stakeholders
  • Experience in commercial or financial modelling
  • A team player with great interpersonal skills
  • Qualities of a strategic self-starter, but also to work independently and collaborate in a matrix working environment
  • IT literate

It would be great if you also have

  • Line management experience
  • Experience working within a healthcare commercial environment
  • Project management experience
