Manager, Regulatory User Experience

As part of R&D Regulatory Enablement, Veeva Center of Excellence, the Manager, Regulatory User Experience will lead user experience and learning design across both Regulatory and Veeva CoE initiatives. This role is central to delivering right-on-time learning by identifying critical user journeys, applying Jobs to be Done (JTBD) methodology, and translating user research into scalable learning experiences that drive change and system adoption across the R&D ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead UX and Learning Strategy Across Domains:
  • Define and drive experience strategy across R&D Regulatory and Veeva CoE initiatives, ensuring learning and service design efforts align with real user needs and business outcomes.
  • Apply JTBD and Journey Prioritisation:
  • Utilise JTBD thinking to surface unmet needs, create archetypes, and prioritise key user journeys that enable timely, impactful learning experiences across R&D users.
  • Plan and Execute User Research:
  • Lead research activities to understand user behaviours, pain points, and motivations through interviews, data analysis, usability testing, and journey mapping.
  • Create User-Centered Learning Solutions:
  • Design intuitive, job-relevant learning experiences that support Veeva system rollouts and ongoing regulatory capability building. Develop prototypes, wireframes, and supporting materials.
  • Advocate for User-Centric Culture:
  • Promote UX and learning excellence by sharing case studies, running design workshops, and fostering collaboration across business and tech stakeholders.
  • Measure and Demonstrate Impact:
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative metrics to evaluate UX and learning performance. Use dashboards and analytics to drive continuous improvement and show value.
  • Mentor and Collaborate:
  • Guide and support colleagues across UX, learning, and change functions. Build capability across teams to scale human-centered design practices.
  • Explore and Integrate Innovation:
  • Stay on top of trends in AI, enterprise UX, and digital learning. Bring new thinking into the design of future-ready, user-driven solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX, Learning Experience Design, or a similar field
  • Deep experience in user research, service design, and usability testing
  • Strong grasp of Design Thinking and Jobs to be Done methodology
  • Background in digital learning or user enablement strategies
  • Analytical thinker with a creative approach to problem solving
  • Effective communicator and collaborator in cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of software design, delivery, and enterprise platforms
  • Fluent English (C1 minimum)
  • Self-starter with a curiosity-driven, adaptable mindset
  • Familiarity with AI tools or concepts in UX/learning contexts

Nice to have Qualifications:

  • Enterprise UX experience, particularly in platforms like Veeva Vault
  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or regulated environments
  • Proficiency with UX design and research tools (Figma, Miro, UXPin, etc.)
  • Knowledge of organisational change and communications strategies
