Job Description
We’re looking for an innovative and highly motivated team player to join our team in supporting the Lake Gaston and Northwest River Water Treatment Plants, along with their associated remote site operations. As a Utility Electronics Technician II, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing a variety of electrical equipment and devices critical to plant operations.

Required Qualifications
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires an associate’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience in electronics or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of two years of full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in compliance with the City Driving Standards.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Performance of essential functions may require exposure to confined spaces.
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
