MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Regional Material Master Business Process Expert (MM BPX in short) is a key role representing the Global Master Data organization in her/his region. The purpose of the role is to be the extension of this global organization and participate in the elaboration and the deployment of the key Material Master processes, capabilities and organizational aspects on a regional scale. The role is also intended to ensure proper support on all Material Master data operations: training, troubleshooting or escalation of issues to the relevant teams, organization of k-users network including channelling of feedbacks / suggestions / improvement opportunities to the global data team as well being a source for Projects in the Region requiring Master Data Support (e.g. SND Changes, China Labeling, CotyBoutique, eInvoicing Malaysia etc.).

As Global Customer Master Data Quality & Analytics Lead this role is responsible to align Customer Master Data Quality Standards with the relevant functions (Customer Service, AccountsReceiveables, Logistics..) translate them into rules, developing Analytical tools for driving continuous data quality improvements ensuring flawless operational executions of the impacted functions.

Key areas of responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Incident management
    • Organize the escalation process using SPOCs including reporting and documentation
    • Act as second level support after the K-user, and escalate back to the GMM groups / central data team any relevant incident
  2. K-user network management
    • Maintain list of K-users & SPOCs & organize regular k-users / SPOCS calls or communication in the region
    • Ensure all changes of users / k-user are managed with the MDG security team
  3. Training and knowledge transfer
    • Ensure MDG/MM training documentation is accessible to K-users & train new K-users
    • Cascade all required communications on MDG/MM system or process changes
    • Channel up to the MDG team of the central data team any request / suggestion for process or system enhancements / corrections
  4. Support Master Data projects in the region by leading or participating in
    • Design confirmation vs Global data standards defined
    • Providing design decisions back to central data teams for consolidation into relevant knowledge databases
    • fit/gap or impact assessments
    • Testing, training & cut-over tasks as requested / appropriate
  5. Be the global lead expert of specific MM topics and support specific master data enhancements / design topics for global capabilities
  6. Lead Customer Master Data Quality Pillar with respective responsibility of tool development down to follow up with all 60+ Sales Organizations worldwide

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

  1. Technical skills
    • Very proficient in SAP and specifically in MM module – good knowledge of other process areas covering Supply Chain (commercial, purchasing, planning) is preferred
    • Good understanding of Supply Chain processes or good ability to quickly dive into them
    • Analytical Skills and ability to learn/evolve in new capabilities (DataBricks etc.)
    • Process & functional design background, data modeling skills are a plus
  2. Communication skills
    • Very good oral and written english is required – extensive work with various Countries in different continents from Shanghai base
  3. Management / interpersonal skills
    • Project management skills – ability to structure a plan, follow and report on it
    • Ability to present complex topics in a simple manner and to educate
    • Coordinator, ability to create interactions
    • Details oriented and analytical mind, curious, dynamic, team player and good capacity to adapt
  4. Other Information Technology skills
    • Proficiency in Excel, good knowledge of Powerpoint and sharepoint, BPI

TYPICAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Masters degree in Business and/or Engineering
  • Experience: minimum 10 years experience in diverse Supply Chain operational roles or in SAP implementation programs with a strong operational & analytical aspect
