We’re seeking a Global Head of IT Infrastructure & IT Operations to lead our global IT infrastructure and operations teams across all business units. Reporting directly to the Group CIO, this leader will be responsible for the overall performance, reliability, and security of the company’s IT infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in driving innovation, leading high-performing global teams, and delivering scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop core functional areas of SecOps, Networking, Server, Storage, Cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments.
  • Oversee and develop Modern Workplace and Unified Communications across the Group.
  • Ensure robust network architecture, firewall configurations, and cybersecurity measures to protect digital assets.
  • Cloud & Data Center operations. Oversee cloud migrations, virtualization, and data center management to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity. Develop and maintain backup strategies, failover mechanisms, and recovery plans to minimize downtime.
  • Automation & Monitoring. Deploy automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Oversee and manage the global IT infrastructure and operations teams across all business units, ensuring that all systems are reliable, secure, and scalable.
  • Develop and implement IT infrastructure and operations strategies that align with business objectives and meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of enterprise-level IT systems, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with the CISO and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders to ensure that IT infrastructure and operations solutions meet business requirements.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of all IT systems and infrastructure, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Develop and implement IT service management processes and procedures to support the delivery of high-quality IT services to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the IT infrastructure and operations budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support business objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends that could improve IT infrastructure and operations performance and recommend adoption where appropriate.
  • Hire, train, and manage IT infrastructure and operations staff to ensure high levels of performance, engagement, and productivity.
  • Monitor and maintain client contracts and ensure agreed SLA’s are met at all times.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Vendor and budget management. Manage relationships with technology vendors and ensure cost-effective service delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft licensing, including Microsoft enterprise agreements.
  • Team leadership. Act as the technical authority and mentor for infrastructure and support staff, fostering collaboration across IT and business functions.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and management of network infrastructure (CISCO), including LAN, WAN, DIA, SDWAN, VPN, and cloud networking solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, including 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management processes and frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, etc.).
  • Experience in financial services and/or regulated environments.
  • Proven track record of managing global teams and driving innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and to be able to produce RCA’s.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in the IT or IT Managed services industry but not essential.
  • Experience with virtualization technology and concepts (VMWare ESXi, Citrix Xen, MS Hyper-V).
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams (preferred), Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace to facilitate communication and collaboration among employees.
  • Experience with unified communication platforms such as Avaya (preferred), Cisco Webex and RingCentral to streamline internal and external communications.
  • Cloud productivity platforms including thorough knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure & Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Strong overview & knowledge of Active Directory – GPOs, User/Group/Password management.
  • Security Solutions including implementing robust security measures such as multi-factor authentication, Defender EDR and any other VirusScan/Endpoint Security Platform. Management and data encryption to safeguard company data. Microsoft AIP & DLP, NG Firewalls - Cisco, FortiGate, Palo Alto Networks (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, infrastructure security, and disaster recovery (multi-site / multi-region topologies with 1000+ network devices).
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, ISO 27018, GDPR, HIPAA, and other compliance standards.
