Job Title: Assembler (2nd Shift)

Job Description

Join our manufacturing team in the underfill and staking department, where you will be responsible for small parts assembly and gluing under a microscope. This manual work involves coatings and epoxies, requiring precision similar to intricate cake piping. As a member of this department, you will contribute to creating high-quality boards used in specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble very small parts and apply glue under a microscope.
  • Inspect work for defects and replace parts as needed or directed.
  • Use a microscope to inspect products for quality assurance.
  • Follow documentation and procedures accurately.
  • Perform masking and demasking tasks.
  • Identify basic components and ensure proper assembly.

Essential Skills

  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Experience working under a microscope is required.
  • Ability to follow documentation and procedures.
  • Basic math skills and ability to distinguish colors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferably one year of experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with hand tools like torque drives, hand cutters, and screwdrivers.
  • Experience with epoxy, RTV silicone, and adhesives.
  • Comfortable sitting for extended periods and working at high magnification.
  • Steady hand and patience for detailed work.

Work Environment

Work in a clean room setting as part of a PCB manufacturer, focusing on high-quality board production. This role is on the 2nd shift, running from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Expect a significant amount of overtime, including weekends. Employees wear a full bunny suit with foot covers, mouth covers, gloves, and hair nets to maintain a sterile environment. Close-toed shoes and pants are required, and employees cannot wear makeup, fake nails, or nail polish.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80/hr.
