Job Title: Mechanical Assembler for industrial refrigerator units

Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday $20

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be using hand and power tools, brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch. Each unit is custom-made, requiring you to cut the piping to length and assemble it according to specific customer needs. You will frequently work from blueprints and will also assist in assembling the housing for these racks. The position involves a lot of physical activity, including bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch.
• Cutting piping to custom lengths based on customer requirements.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints as needed.
• Assembling housing for custom units.
• Engaging in physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and twisting.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with hand tools and a tape measure.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a large manufacturing building where units are built in teams of 3-4 people. It is a fast-paced and well-lit environment. Although there is no air conditioning, fans are provided to maintain airflow. The hours are 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Due to the nature of the work, steel-toed shoes and long pants are required daily.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
