Job Title: Warehouse Worker - Nights

Job Description

This position blends two roles: Control Room Operator (HMI) and Video Coder. The successful candidate will be cross-trained in both roles and expected to switch between them as needed. The Control Room Operator monitors conveyor lanes via cameras, communicates with Supervisors or Lead Hands to resolve issues, conducts reports, performs root cause analysis, suggests corrective actions, and identifies system maintenance issues. The Video Coder monitors an internal package distribution/scanning system, cross-references data, and enters missing information swiftly to maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor conveyor lanes for jams, slowdowns, or backups using camera systems.
• Communicate promptly via radio to Supervisors or Lead Hands to resolve warehouse floor issues.
• Conduct reports and perform root cause analysis and suggest corrective actions.
• Identify system maintenance issues and communicate them to management and vendors.
• Monitor internal package distribution/scanning system and resolve errors by entering missing data.
• Cross-reference computer data with package information and ensure accurate data entry.
• Maintain attention to detail and ensure data integrity during high-frequency tasks.

Essential Skills

• Exceptional typing and data entry proficiency.
• Strong communication skills for effective radio communication.
• Computer skills including internal coding and data entry systems and MS Office.
• Knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Attention to detail and focus on work to prevent loss or damage to property.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.

Work Environment

The role follows a night shift schedule from Sunday to Thursday, requiring overtime as needed. The dress code includes steel-toed boots and a high visibility vest.
