Get to Know the Team
The GFin Regional Operational Risk team is responsible for set up the Operational Risk Management Framework, steering the relevant policy procedures, overseeing implementation of the framework across the region, and working with the country teams in shaping technological and risk methodology improvements for all the markets.
Get to Know the Role
We are looking for a Country Op Risk Manager who will implement the Operational Risk Management Framework and coordinate multiple Operational Risk Management activities into the local market and across all business segments within the local market.
You will report to the Head of Risk and be based in the Jakarta office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Steer and lead country specific Op Risk activities to govern the implementation of regional Operational Risk framework along with Enterprise Risk Management framework;
- Assess risk areas and control gaps for any new business initiations; work with the first line of defence to gear up the processes and risk mitigations;
- Support design, enhance and create of country Op Risk profile reports and dashboards such as monthly Op Risk portfolio analysis, Main Risk heat map, etc.
- Review and manage Operational Risk incidents, coordinate and call out any potential risks and strengthen existing controls across the local markets;
- Conduct back testing of control effectiveness and efficiencies, uncover insights and identify targeted areas for improvements.
- Work closely with other departments regionally or local country teams to deep dive on core Operational Risk issues and prioritize automated mitigation needs.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- A good degree with at least 8 years of experiences in financial services sector
- In-depth understanding of risk management and audit methodologies specific to Credit/Lending/Payment products
- Manage good relationship and presentation, with excellent partner management capability
- Ability to write risk assessment reports, with clear articulation of risk weaknesses and targeted areas for improvements
- Team player with the ability to work independently to manage projects within tight deadlines
- Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in Operational Risk area in a FinTech company or consumer banking sector
- Experience in policy writing will be an advantage
- Knowledge of technology or cyber security risk
