Description
Manage team of 30+ hourly employees, including timekeeping, performance management, and flow of material from dock to assembly line.
Oversee the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment.
Participate in training, development, and evaluation of hourly team members.
Support the development of high-performing teams.
Meet or exceed production cost schedules while maintaining quality standards.
Communicate department quality goals and leverage resources to resolve quality issues.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with employees, union representatives, and management.
Administer National and Local Agreements between General Motors and the United Auto Workers Union consistently.
Implement systems to prevent recurrence of known issues.
Promote safe work practices and support objectives related to ergonomics, health, safety, and housekeeping.
Motivate, train, and develop employees using standardized methods.
Ensure team members receive adequate Job Training.
Achieve production schedules and product requirements using lean manufacturing and synchronous principles.
Focus on reducing variation, controlling costs, and improving productivity.
Coach, teach, counsel, and mentor Group Leaders in all responsibilities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
