Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to lead our production department in the manufacturing of Poly-ISO Insulation and related products. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise activities within the production department.
  • Coordinate production scheduling and departmental activities.
  • Train, supervise, and lead a team of 17+ employees across various skill sets including forklift operation, machine operation, saw operation, general production, and quality control.
  • Inspect materials for quality defects and manage material shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with all plant safety rules and regulations.
  • Document and conduct yearly reviews for employees.
  • Assist in training new team members.
  • Provide coverage for other supervisors during absences.
  • Oversee the safe and proper disposal of waste chemicals.
  • Conduct daily production and safety meetings.
  • Utilize basic computer skills for email, Excel, Word, and SFIS.
  • Prepare documented reviews, disciplinary actions, incident/injury reports, scrap reports, and forklift inspection sheets.
  • Communicate with other production supervisors and management to achieve production goals.

Essential Skills

  • Experience leading, supervising, and training 15-20+ employees in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of production scheduling.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • OSHA Safety Training Certifications are a major plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Experience in a non-union environment.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with 75+ employees across office and production areas. The facility operates with multiple production lines and heavy equipment, including forklifts. Candidates should be comfortable working in varying temperatures, with exposure to ambient conditions, nuisance dust, and chemicals. This fast-paced environment requires a focus on safety and efficiency.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
