DESCRIPTION

The Device Analytics Services organization builds privacy tooling to help Amazon automate privacy regulations. We work across the Devices Organization and partner with central privacy organizations to ensure we have a cohesive and comprehensive tooling strategy across the company. In addition, we are responsible for providing device product teams the ability to understand customer engagement journeys so they can improve the experiences that our customers have with our devices.

As a Sr. SW Development Manager in this domain, you will be responsible for envisioning and implementing the future of privacy tooling for devices. You will build strategic relationships with product teams, legal, and privacy experts. In addition, you will partner with business teams to understand how customer journeys can help them achieve the best experiences our customers can have with our devices.

You will also be excellent at driving results, being able to build solutions for large, multi-functional projects on-time, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints. You are responsible for defining technical design and building world-class software that pushes boundaries. You know how to build relationships and influence others.

Key job responsibilities

You will collaborate with product line teams, legal and privacy to define roadmaps for privacy and data insights. You will lead an organization of software and data engineers and scientists. You will develop the best technical and operational design and approach, delivering value to customers without sacrificing the long-term.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience partnering with product and program management teams
  • Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $198,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $342,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
