DFM Technical Program Manager

The purpose of the position is to manage the development, execution, and stabilization of technological programs for their incorporation into the manufacturing environment; through the definition of goals, acceptance criteria, resource allocation, and successful on-time delivery at each stage. This position promotes the resolution of challenges by making judgments based on objective technical evidence.

The "DFM Technical Program Manager" uses, develops, and documents tools and processes to improve human resource productivity in order to accelerate and streamline program development. Similarly, they are responsible for communicating schedules, priorities, and program (project) status at different levels of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying the necessary aspects to carry out the project, determining impacts, and creating solutions in collaboration with the teams related to the projects.
  • Leads and/or is part of Global development teams.
  • Provides technical advice during the ramp-up of programs.
  • Active contributor in creating and developing the program with dates and responsible parties for timely follow-up, determining the important elements to ensure that tasks/programs and projects are successful.
  • Identifies and obtains the necessary resources to carry out projects/programs, has the ability to interact with various departments and obtain the key elements to carry out the necessary tasks required for the project.
  • Leads teams to determine the optimal path/solution that will meet the expectations and purpose of the project, ensuring that a pertinent time is established and that it meets the project delivery plan.
  • Effectively communicates changes in the project's purpose, changes in the established time, and any event that may impact the project's objective/end.
  • Follows up on key project activities and maintains communication with key individuals of the activity to ensure timely and proper compliance.
  • Continuously analyzes the risk that may arise during the development of the program/project and ensures to mitigate or solve any problem found together with the team.
  • Creates solutions.
  • Recurrent and timely communication with all teams (levels) to communicate progress, risks, opportunities, and thus maintain projects on time and in proper form.
  • Works with multifunctional teams such as development, manufacturing, IT, finance, R&D, external suppliers for the development, delivery of activities, and solutions for any project.
  • Investigates, develops, refines, and applies new trends, methods, and technologies in the "program management" process.
  • Ensures that the project does not interfere with the company's goals and creates solutions in case it could impact another project or goal.
  • Monitors the effective compliance of the objectives and deadlines assigned to the group.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Engineering studies.
  • Postgraduate studies.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Program Management.
  • Experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry regulated by the FDA.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to present to management.
  • Ability to handle conflicts/complex problems by influencing different departments for their resolution.
  • Ability to balance work by evaluating criticality or priority.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Advanced level in MS Project.
  • Atlassian/Jira.
  • Advanced English.
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum project development methodologies.
