What You'll Do

Avalara is looking for an experienced Manager of Product Management to lead a team of product managers in delivering world-class SaaS solutions. You will oversee the development, launch, and optimization of Avalara's primary products, ensuring understanding of our goals and customer needs. You'll guide product managers, helping them translate market and user insights into scalable SaaS solutions.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Lead a team of product managers, providing guidance on product strategy, prioritization, and execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, sales, and marketing teams to guide the delivery of high-quality SaaS products.
  • Define and oversee product roadmaps, ensuring understanding of Avalara's our goals and market opportunities.
  • Ensure that product teams on user needs, collecting and acting on customer feedback to improve product experience.
  • Track product performance through Indicators, using data to improve.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and accountability within the product management team.
  • you will report to Senior Manager
  • Product Management Expertise: Solid experience managing all stages of the product lifecycle, from brainstorming to launch and optimization, with an understanding of how to provide SaaS solutions.

Agile Methodologies: Experience managing products in an Agile environment, with an understanding of how to balance priorities, manage backlogs, and ensure delivery in collaboration with engineering teams.

  • Decision-making: to inform product decisions, track success, and lead continuous improvements.

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years managing product managers or teams.
  • Experience delivering SaaS products in an Agile environment, with experience successful launches.
  • Experience with cloud-based SaaS platforms and the ability to work with technical teams.
  • And mentoring skills, with the ability to develop product teams.
  • Experience working with B2B or enterprise software.
  • Knowledge of tax compliance or financial software but not required.
  • Experience using a CRM software system.
  • With experience using data to inform product decisions.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones.
