Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator (Oncology)

Job Description

The Clinical Research Coordinator provides oversight of the conduct of industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials in accordance with trial protocols, FDA regulations, and ICH/GCP guidelines. This role involves functioning as a clinical study coordinator as needed and training, mentoring, and developing clinical study coordinators and research staff within the research enterprise, which may extend across multiple U.S. Division locations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day activities of the clinical research team, including oversight of productivity and maintenance of personnel and staffing schedules.
  • Ensure the delivery of safe care with dignity and respect for all patients and participants.
  • Serve as a service line expert and resource for the research team when barriers arise during day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality and safety of clinical operations within the assigned area.
  • Build and maintain supportive relationships with team members through regular interactions.
  • Collaborate with operations manager, study intake, research services, and external partners to ensure timely start-up and smooth transition to assigned coordinators.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure clinical research operations teams follow processes and procedures.
  • Provide guidance, education, specialized training, and mentorship to promote growth for study team members.
  • Coordinate effective and compliant clinical research studies, planning, organizing, and managing all activities related to clinical research protocols.
  • Support preceptorship of new team members, monitoring progress and communicating with the Operational Manager for workflow planning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Research, or related field with 2 years of experience in clinical research or
  • Associates degree in Healthcare Administration, Research, or related field with 4 years of experience in clinical research or related field
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $109000.00/yr.
