Job Title: Safety Coordinator
Job Description
- We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator in Niagara Falls to support the Safety Director by creating and implementing comprehensive health and safety plans using the latest versions of Word and Adobe.
- This role requires a proactive individual to review existing policies and procedures, manage forms from clients, and develop a robust working knowledge of applicable safety regulations, including industrial, radiation safety, and hazardous material projects.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement health and safety plans using Word and Adobe.
- Review existing policies and procedures.
- Manage forms from clients, download into PDF, bookmark in-house, and send back to clients.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of applicable safety regulations.
- Identify safety-training needs and develop an action plan to complete training.
- Perform administrative duties and recordkeeping as a primary responsibility.
- Conduct accident and incident investigations.
- Understand and apply 1910 and 1926 standards.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in safety management and compliance.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Understanding of OSHA safety and safety plans.
- Capability to conduct safety training and environmental health assessments.
- Familiarity with industrial hygiene and site safety.
- Experience with data entry and OSHA regulations.
- Competence in construction safety and radiation safety.
- Ability to perform safety audits.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- OSHA 40 certification.
- Experience with hazard analysis.
Work Environment
- This position requires working in the office 75% of the time, with occasional field visits to local and national sites.
- Field visits are reimbursed but are not prioritized.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
