Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team in Orange City, FL. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have a mechanical or technical aptitude. The position involves various field inspections and investigations, contributing to essential environmental protection work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field inspections and investigations by collecting high quality and accurate data.
  • Conduct manhole inspections, record various structure attributes, and identify defects.
  • Execute smoke tests and document defects encountered.
  • Measure wastewater flows during non-peak usage through night flow isolations.
  • Conduct dye water tracing and dye water flooding.
  • Install and maintain open channel flow metering equipment.
  • Work in confined spaces, including sanitary sewer manholes.
  • Adapt to working outdoors through various terrains and extreme weather conditions.

Essential Skills

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to travel and work in and around open sanitary sewer lines.
  • Basic computer skills and good technical skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Confined Space Entry certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous skilled trade experience preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical or technical aptitude is beneficial.
  • Surveyors and SUE Techs are a good fit.
  • Comfort with adapting to project changes and working outdoors for extended periods.

This role involves significant outdoor work, requiring adaptability to various terrains and weather conditions. The work is independent, providing the opportunity to manage tasks within reasonable time frames. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
