Position Summary

The role is responsible for implementing and managing updates to tool, jig, die, and fixture designs. This includes planning and executing engineering research, design development, and manufacturing engineering tasks to support production efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and revise detailed drawings for tools, jigs, dies, and fixtures using current engineering documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Tool & Die, and Production teams to ensure alignment and technical accuracy.
  • Design or redesign tooling components to improve operational efficiency and reduce production downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of all tooling changes, both in physical filing systems and electronic databases.
  • Distribute updated prints to relevant departments and obtain required approvals and signatures.
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering, management, and production personnel to ensure effective communication and implementation of tooling updates.
  • Stay current with advancements in Tool and Die Design and related manufacturing technologies.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Attend internal meetings and contribute to staff development activities.
  • Perform additional duties and travel as required.

Required Skills

  • Tooling Design
  • CAD proficiency (AutoCAD and SolidWorks)
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Knowledge of automation tooling design is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
