We are seeking a motivated individual with an engineering degree to join our team as a Distribution Engineer. This role focuses on distribution projects, offering a blend of design development and coordination, with training provided by experienced engineers. The position primarily involves performing engineering calculations such as structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices. Additional responsibilities include preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, developing a Bill of Materials (BOM), and estimating costs. The role is primarily office-based, with occasional fieldwork after several months on the job.
This position is fully on-site in Durham, North Carolina, within an office environment that includes Designers, Engineers, and Design Technicians supporting distribution projects. The work setting promotes teamwork and collaboration, with a focus on working in groups on various projects. It provides an open environment that encourages teamwork and the sharing of ideas. The pay range for this position is $29.81 - $29.81/hr.
