A leading hospitality company based in the US is currently looking for a Senior FullStack Engineer (Ruby AND/OR Node + React) to join their team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help scale our APIs and platform to the next level. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and have experience with building dynamic pricing systems and marketplaces. Our cutting-edge platform leverages TypeScript, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, AWS, and Docker.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and operate cloud-based services that can scale to millions of users
  • Apply a metrics-driven mindset to product development, with a disciplined and analytical approach to solving problems
  • Participate in architecture discussions, mentor junior engineers, and perform code reviews to help scale the platform
  • Collaborate with Product to translate end-user requirements into impactful solutions across internal and external use cases
  • Lead backend optimizations and contribute to new features across all applications

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of backend experience using scripting languages like Node.js and/or Ruby on Rails
  • Strong computer science fundamentals with a solid grasp of system design and OOP
  • Experience building distributed, cloud-based, resilient systems capable of handling variable traffic loads
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows (Git, GitHub, Jenkins)
  • Familiarity with Docker and AWS infrastructure
  • Comfortable learning quickly and adapting to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong experience with React
