Position Summary

Join our team to lead engineering projects for a next-generation generative AI application that supports private equity investment teams, including financial analysts and deal professionals. In this role, you’ll develop full-stack product features from the ground up, including UI components, backend APIs, AI workflow integrations, and data optimization for financial decision-making.

You’ll work alongside product, data, and AI teams to bring advanced intelligence to the tools used by investment professionals—making research, analysis, and deal execution faster and more data-driven.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, build and deploy full-stack features using Angular, Python, REST
  • Develop robust and scalable backend APIs and services to support AI-powered workflows
  • Integrate generative AI models (e.g., LLMs, embeddings) into user-facing tools
  • Collaborate closely with product and data teams to translate financial workflows into intuitive, high-performance software
  • Implement efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms for deal and market data
  • Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and drive continuous improvement across the stack

Qualifications

Education & Certificates

  • Bachelors Degree, required
  • Concentration in a STEM field, preferred

Professional Experience

  • 6+ years of overall relevant technical experience, required
  • Hands-on experience in full stack software development, required
  • Strong proficiency with Angular, Python, and REST
  • Experience building backend systems and working with APIs
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration and generative AI models
  • Comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data
  • Strong product intuition, with the ability to understand the needs of financial professionals
  • Experience working on high-impact problems at the intersection of AI, data, and finance - Experience in fintech, private equity, or investment-related domains is a plus

Benefits/Compensation

The compensation range for this role is specific to Washington, DC and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $185,000.

In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
