  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 4 years focused on performance testing and architecture.
  • Design and implement end-to-end performance testing frameworks and strategies tailored to the needs of the organization and its various software delivery projects.
  • Develop and lead performance testing initiatives that cover system load, scalability, stress, and endurance testing using tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
  • Define best practices and standardized approaches for performance testing across multiple application architectures (monolithic, microservices, cloud-native, etc.).
  • Evaluate, select, and implement performance testing tools that best align with the organization's goals and the technical stack.
  • Drive the integration of performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk for real-time analysis and insights during testing and production phases.
  • Configure and fine-tune testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, Dynatrace, etc.) to simulate realistic user load and monitor application performance at scale.
  • Define and execute comprehensive performance testing strategies for different environments and stages of the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Work with engineering teams to identify key performance requirements and KPIs for various applications.
  • Conduct load, stress, endurance, and spike testing across different environments (staging, pre-production, production).
  • Simulate various types of traffic (real users, API traffic, backend systems) to evaluate system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and DevOps, to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and agile workflows.
  • Mentor and guide other performance engineers and testers to ensure consistent testing practices and high-quality test results.
  • Conduct regular workshops and training sessions for internal teams to promote performance testing best practices.
  • Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks, optimize resource usage, and improve overall system performance.
  • Provide in-depth root cause analysis and actionable recommendations for performance tuning.
  • Create detailed performance test reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Dynatrace, Splunk, and other analytics tools.
  • Present findings to stakeholders, including senior leadership, development teams, and product owners.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure, code, and application configurations for better performance and efficiency.
  • Work with DevOps teams to ensure that performance testing is integrated into automated deployment pipelines.
  • Contribute to the tuning and optimization of systems for scalability, responsiveness, and resource management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new tools, and techniques in performance testing, and continuously refine test strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal performance testing tools and frameworks.
  • Participate in the performance testing community through conferences, research, and sharing knowledge within the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Proven experience designing and implementing performance testing strategies and frameworks.
    • In-depth experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Dynatrace, Splunk, Gatling, or similar.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies, such as load testing, stress testing, scalability testing, and endurance testing.
    • Experience with application monitoring and performance profiling using Dynatrace, Splunk, or similar tools.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and how they impact performance testing.
    • Understanding of performance testing across various application types, including web applications, APIs, microservices, and databases.
  • Development Skills:
    • Strong scripting knowledge in languages like Java, Python, or Shell for automating performance test execution and analysis.
    • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and integrating performance tests into the delivery pipeline.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to explain complex technical performance issues in a clear and concise manner.
    • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
