Position Overview:

Freddie Mac’s Finance Division is currently seeking a Multifamily Financial Accounting and Analysis Lead to be part of the Multifamily CFO department. This role requires the individual to lead and support the creation of and changes to the accounting system(s) used in the MF CFO area, identify process improvements, automate manual processes and to support the accounting close for Multifamily’s mortgage loans, consolidated securitizations, and financial reporting and analysis.

Your Impact:

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the team in multiple projects for system design, implementation and improvement; ensuring adherence to relevant policy, methodology, and Controls and Quality Standards
  • Develop and document business requirements related to system design and enhancements, perform risk and controls assessment, and user acceptance testing
  • Assess and document impacts from data and product changes to systems and processes
  • Evaluate opportunities for data enrichment as part of system design and/or enhancement
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders including discussions with senior leadership
  • Coordinate with teams across divisions to develop and document requirements for process improvement and system enhancement
  • Support baseline close execution including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations
  • Support 10-K & 10-Q SEC disclosures and Regulatory Reporting
  • Prepare internal segment analytics and other corporate deliverables
  • Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with internal and external auditors
  • Support ongoing control activities including revisions to SOX process flows

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in project management including system implementation and enhancements
  • Relevant primary and secondary mortgage market experience including mortgage loans and consolidated securitizations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and an ability to communicate results to management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting, subledger and financial reporting concepts

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $122,000 - $184,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
