Responsibilities

• Backend Development & Scalability:
  • Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and robust backend systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
  • Utilize and deepen your expertise in Ruby on Rails to build and enhance core application functionalities.
• Frontend Development:
  • Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend technologies, including JavaScript (JS), HTML, and CSS.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional web applications.
• Independent Problem Solving:
  • Independently analyze, investigate, and drive progress in ambiguous or undefined problem areas, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Take ownership of challenging technical issues from identification through resolution.
• Code Quality & Improvement:
  • Actively contribute to code reviews, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for continuous improvement, refactoring, and optimizing existing systems.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience working in a backend engineering role, with a proven track record of building highly scalable and robust systems.
  • 2+ years of dedicated experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • 2+ years of front-end development experience using core technologies such as JavaScript (JS), HTML, and CSS.
• Problem-Solving & Autonomy:
  • Demonstrated ability to drive progress independently in ambiguous problem areas, showing initiative and strong analytical skills.
• Continuous Improvement Mindset:
  • A strong passion for leaving things better than you found them, consistently seeking opportunities for code optimization, refactoring, and process enhancement.
• Collaboration:
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
