The Division of Behavioral Health is seeking an Administrative Support Professional for Central Office domiciled in Jefferson City, Missouri. This position reports to the Division Director’s Administrative Support Professional.

  • Provide administrative/clerical support to the Deputy Division Director and the Director of Forensic Services; this position may also be responsible for providing support to the Director of Competency Restoration.

o Schedule appointments, maintain calendar updates, coordinate meetings, attend meetings as necessary to take minutes, etc.

o Coordinate procurement of office equipment and supplies

o Process grievances when received by assigning grievance to an investigator, format and proof response to grievant from investigator, obtain signatures and send copies to appropriate facility, and ensure completed by deadline

o Maintain commitment logs, evaluation logs, and Forensic databases

  • Maintain knowledge of Court procedures and facility procedures for evaluations and admission of forensic clients as well as procedures for trial, conditional, and unconditional releases for forensic clients
  • Civil Involuntary Commitments—update all the designees for the designated facilities and process any new designated facilities; take calls and respond to questions regarding the commitments from the facilities, courts and consumers.
  • Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (MULES)/Consumer Information Management Outcomes & Reporting (CIMOR)

o Run MULES reports on Forensic clients under Chapter 552 as requested by Forensic Case Monitor (FCM), Office of General Counsel, or forensic facilities

o Coordinate trainings for MULES as necessary

o Update client information in CIMOR as necessary

  • Maintain communication with clients, FCMs, community providers, facility providers, Office of General Counsel, and Courts as necessary
  • Attend/complete trainings as necessary to maintain knowledge of forensic services and office of the Deputy Division Director
  • Assist with answering Division phones with a primary day and back-up day one day each week
  • Provide backup to the Division Director’s Administrative Support Professional and backup Division Director phone daily
  • Maintain confidentiality of consumer and personnel related information at all times
  • Complete other duties as requested/assigned by Deputy Division Director and/or Director of Forensic Services

Eligibility:

Five or more years of experience as a Lead Administrative Support Assistant (formerly Administrative Office Support Assistant); and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
