CLINICAL EDUCATOR-SON ACCESS AND ENGAGEMENT

The School of Nursing Office of Access and Engagement (SONOAE) Clinical Educator role develops and supports community outreach, education, and other programming that supports the access and engagement mission of the SONOAE. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Access and Engagement for UAB School of Nursing, the Clinical Educator (CE) collaborates with the SON community (faculty, staff, students), UAB departments, and community members to plan and implement learning and engagement experiences that support the strategic priorities of the SONOAE. The CE will collaborate with appropriate personnel within the School of Nursing (SON) to ensure course and programs developed for community and campus learners by the SONOAE align and compliment the initiatives of the pre-licensure CEs.

Salary Range: $55,180.00-$89,670.00
Education
Master’s degree in nursing and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Prior teaching experience in higher education is required. Prior experience working with community and student groups preferred. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Reliable transportation and an Alabama driver s license is required to attend offsite meetings and activities at times.
