We are looking for a caring, attentive, and thoughtful Colleague who is focused on servant leadership and creating meaningful experiences for both Clients and Colleagues. The Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City is the newest convention hotel in the Mountain West, conveniently connected to the Salt Palace Convention Center. The hotel offers 700 modern rooms and suites, 60,000 square feet of meeting space, an array of dining options, and a rooftop event terrace with an outdoor heated pool. The Senior Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience with large complex group business, navigating the sales process and new business development. The Senior Sales Manager is a career sales professional and a top producer within hotel sales who has demonstrated through performance a commitment and expertise in direct sales. Responsibilities include managing citywide and in-house group opportunities, relationship management, conducting virtual and in person site inspections, and strategically soliciting future group opportunities. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, persuasive presentations, and maintaining well organized documentation and reports.

The Senior Sales Manager role is a mid-level management position, handling large group business opportunities 200+ peak rooms within the Midwest and Southeast markets with a performance quota.

Qualifications

  • Previous large complex group experience
  • Relationship oriented, consultative selling skills
  • Strategic, problem solving abilities
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have 3-5 years of hotel sales experience
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
  • Must have selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
