Position Description

Seattle University is seeking a dynamic Campus Service Coordinator to lead and oversee the daily operations of its campus services, including shuttle service, transit passes, parking, campus cards and mailing services. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, customer service, and business management skills to ensure an exceptional experience that supports the university community, enhances student life, and aligns with institutional values.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage student employees.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth.
  • Close collaboration with team members and leadership at the South Lake Union and First Hill campuses

Customer Experience

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service and responsiveness to campus community needs.
  • Coordinate with university marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns for services.

Operations Coordination

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the campus services on campus, ensuring cleanliness, efficiency, and compliance with university policies and industry standards. Areas of responsibility include successful coordination of the following services:

Mail:

  • Oversee mail room operations and student workers
  • Maintain inter-campus mail drop-off
  • Submit and maintain Amazon Hub notifications

Parking:

  • Support parking permit lottery, payment, delivery,
  • Establish and oversee schedule for parking enforcement

Campus Card:

  • Print campus cards for South Lake Union Campus
  • Provide information on receiving campus cards for First Hill Campus.

ORCA:

  • Distribute student and employee ORCA cards
  • Maintain ORCA spreadsheet

Shuttle Service:

  • Be an authorized driver in accordance with University policies and also obtain ADA driver qualifications
  • Schedule and Coordinate the Shuttle Service
  • Recruit, hire and train Student Drivers for the Shuttle
  • Work with First Hill Campus to ensure drivers are authorized.
  • Maintain accurate records of usage and passenger volume and
  • Coordinate with First Hill Campus for any required van maintenance
  • Review expenses verses approved budgets at least monthly

Compliance & Safety

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and university regulations. Maintain accurate records and prepare for periodic inspections or audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Marketing, or related field, and 3–5 years of experience in customer service, or a combination of education, experience, and demonstrated competence necessary to be successful in the role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in higher education or student-focused environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful experience and career progression in a campus or institutional setting retail or services setting.

Work Conditions

  • Full-time position; may require occasional evenings, weekends, and special event support.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a consistent basis and up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis, stand for extended periods, and perform light stocking duties.

Compensation at a Glance

Salary Range: $50,100 - $55,000

Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.

Hybrid Eligible

This position may be eligible for a hybrid schedule after successful completion of an introductory work period of 3-6 months. This may mean that a hybrid eligible role will begin on-campus initially and then will transition to hybrid format following onboarding and training. Flexible work plans are subject to periodic review and may be changed or terminated at any time for any reason at the university’s discretion.
