As an OCI Account Cloud Engineer, you’ll guide customers on their journey to modernise applications, build resilient systems, and unlock the power of data-driven services—securely and at scale.

What you will do

• Champion customer success by serving as a trusted cloud advisor - building long-term partnerships, shaping strategy, and driving OCI and AI adoption.
• Architect Solutions with Purpose by aligning customer goals with Oracle’s infrastructure services: Compute, Storage, Networking, Integration, Observability, and Security.
• Lead with AI by positioning Oracle’s AI portfolio, including GenAI, Digital Assistant, Vision, Speech, and GPU-powered services - within real-world customer challenges.
• Translate Complexity into Clarity through compelling cloud architecture narratives, solution designs, and infrastructure modernization roadmaps.
• Orchestrate Across Oracle by collaborating closely with Sales, Product, Delivery, and fellow DBP/OCI engineers to deliver cohesive, impactful solutions.

Innovate and Inspire by creating demos, content, and workshops that bring Oracle Cloud to life; showcasing customer outcomes, industry relevance, and next-gen capabilities.

Desired Experience

• Cloud Infrastructure and AI Expertise
• Proficiency in cloud services spanning IaaS, PaaS, and AI; ideally including OCI Compute, Block/Object Storage, Networking, DevOps, and GPU-based AI workloads.
• Trusted Cloud Advisor
• Ability to influence customer decisions with a balance of technical authority and business acumen, earning trust across IT, digital, and innovation leadership.
• Solution Architecture Experience
• Track record in customer-facing roles such as Cloud Architect or Pre-Sales Engineer, ideally working with public sector or regulated industries.
• AI-Enabled Thinking
• Curiosity and comfort with AI tooling and services, from natural language models and vector databases to conversational AI and vision inference.

Cloud Fluency

Hands-on knowledge of OCI, as well as relevant experience or certifications from AWS, Azure, or GCP. Understanding of Sovereign, Distributed, and Multi-Cloud architectures is a plus.

Nice to have experience

• OCI Professional certification or equivalent architecture-level credentials across other cloud providers.
• Familiarity with cloud-native development, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, integration platforms, cloud networking and observability tooling.
• Experience with AI platforms or open-source AI ecosystems.
• Understanding of UK financial services security, data residency, and compliance standards.
• Prior success in building or contributing to technical assets, enablement materials, or cloud advocacy.
