Purpose of the position

This role oversees the coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain production and product delivery. It ensures the procurement of cost-effective, high-quality materials and reports directly to the Galfab Winamac Operations Manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Release of purchase orders for a subset of required inventory
  • Monitoring of orders to ensure that there is no lack of supply to the operation
  • Report and track hoist crate completion
  • Create scan files for production orders
  • Track all back orders
  • Arrange shipment of equipment to end users
    • Create BOLs for hoist mounts & ship outs
    • Scan and electronically file BOLs
  • Assist receiving with freight coordination and auditing
  • Determining the required materials and generating replenishment plan
  • Manage and maintain optimal lot size technique, safety stock and other planning parameters
  • Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations
  • Multilift receiving and parts ordering in SAP

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

Working experience:

  • Will consider 3 years of solid experience
  • Relevant work experience in manufacturing administration is a plus

Skills and competencies:

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM
  • Proficient in using and working with Databases
  • Sound computer skills, including experience with Excel spreadsheets
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills
  • Possess a sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail
  • Can communicate effectively both orally and written with entire organization
  • Ability to effectively manage a wide variety of tasks simultaneously and often with time conflict pressures
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Self-directed
