Detailed Job Description:
We are looking for a Data Engineer who thrives at the intersection of data, cloud technologies, and AI-driven analytics. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Copenhagen Metropolitan Area.
As a Data Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake on AWS.
- Implement robust ETL/ELT workflows integrating S3, RDS.
- Leverage tools like dbt, Apache Spark, and Databricks Workflows to build reliable transformation logic.
- Set up data lakehouse and data mesh architectures, enabling real-time and batch analytics.
- Enable AI/ML and LLM-ready data infrastructure, including vector stores and Bedrock integration.
- Work closely with ML Engineers and Data Scientists to support model training, feature engineering, and inference pipelines.
- Automate deployments and testing using GitHub Actions, Docker, Terraform/CDK, and CI/CD workflows with private runners.
- Apply DataOps and MLOps best practices, including versioning, observability, and lineage.
- Guide clients on data architecture, cloud-native governance, and scaling patterns on AWS.
- Ensure compliance with FAIR data principles, data privacy, and security best practices (IAM, KMS, VPC).
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong technical and architectural thinking—ability to design scalable data solutions
- Excellent communication & presentation skills—can explain complex ideas to technical & non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with Python, AWS/Azure, and cloud-native data processing tools
- Expertise in DataOps, MLOps, ETL, and data modeling
- Hands-on experience with Dbt, Apache Spark, or other modern data engineering tools
- Understanding of data governance, lineage, and FAIR data principles
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
