Job Summary:

The Manager, Annual Giving at the Wellstar Foundation is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of all annual giving initiatives. Managing a team of three, this position leads the efforts to grow and enhance internal giving programs, specifically overseeing the Annual Fund, the Grateful Patient Program, and Team Member Giving. This role is crucial in aligning these programs with the Foundation's mission to support superior healthcare delivery through strategic philanthropic efforts.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Strategic Leadership and Oversight: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for robust annual fund program that encompasses all aspects of the program, including team member giving, grateful patient engagement, and leadership involvement. Program Management: Oversee the daily operations and strategic direction of the Wellstar Foundation Annual Fund Program, the Grateful Patient Program, and Team Member Giving, ensuring seamless integration with broader annual giving strategies. Lead the Grateful Patient Program Specialist and the Annual Giving Officer, in aligning their activities with the foundation's overall fundraising goals. Coordinate internally with key staff and externally with others as needed to execute said operations and strategies. Donor Engagement and Stewardship: Enhance donor cultivation, engagement, and stewardship practices across all platforms, ensuring a unified approach to managing donor relationships and enhancing donor satisfaction and retention. Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide the development of annual giving team members, fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and high performance. Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with various departments within Wellstar Health System and the Wellstar Foundation to ensure that fundraising efforts are well-coordinated and effectively support the organization's objectives. Ensure that the annual giving program aligns with the strategic goals of the health system and maximizes philanthropic support. Performance Metrics and Accountability: Establish and monitor performance metrics for the annual giving program and team members. Evaluate program effectiveness and implement changes to enhance fundraising outcomes and operational efficiency. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Masters Business Administration/Management-Preferred or Bachelors Other

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) Upon Hire Preferred and

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 7 years in fundraising, with substantial experience in managing annual giving programs and leading strategic initiatives within a healthcare or related philanthropic environment. Required

Required Minimum Skills:

Microsoft Office High Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising CRM High
