The Role

FreshDirect is currently seeking a TEMPORARY Indirect Procurement Specialist in the New York City area. This position is responsible for performing diverse tasks in the Indirect Procurement department. The ideal candidate has an interest in learning about procurement, including product sourcing and selection.

What You’ll Do

• Perform varied administrative duties for their assigned function within Indirect Procurement.
• Maintains department records and files.
• As necessary, supports cross-functional projects and procurement initiatives.
• Corrects inaccurate data and maintains documentation of action or communication related to correction.
• Seeking and create direct contact with new vendors
• Negotiate goods and services

What You Bring

• Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills.
• Analytically minded with strong organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and exceptional follow-through
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in SAP.
• 1-2 years’ experience in procurement, eCommerce, or related industry.

• The expected compensation for this role is($20.79 to $24.46) per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
