The Role

As a Temporary Leave Specialist, you will be responsible for administering leave of absence programs, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, short-term disability, long-term disability, and personal leave across the company. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and internal company policies while supporting employees through the leave process with accuracy, empathy, and efficiency. As our ideal candidate, you are empathetic, customer-centric, have great written (email) and verbal (phone) communication skills, and are very detail oriented. Spanish proficiency is a MUST for this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Administer all aspects of employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, PFL, ADA, STD, LTD, military leave, and personal leaves.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave inquiries and processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of leave requests and documentation in accordance with legal and policy requirements.
  • Coordinate with third-party leave administrators, insurance providers, and payroll to ensure seamless leave processing.
  • Monitor and track leave durations, intermittent leaves, and return-to-work dates; maintain accurate leave records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws including FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA.
  • Assistance with other special projects or assignments may be assigned.

  • The expected compensation for this role is [$57,174 – $63,000] per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
