Position Summary
A PM III is a senior-level project management professional responsible for strategic initiatives, large-scale projects, and mentoring junior project managers. They influence organizational strategy and drive complex project portfolios.
Essential Functions
- Lead enterprise-level projects or programs exceeding $3M in budget and/or spanning multiple business units.
- Enter weekly project status updates, ensuring all interested parties receive them or know how to self-service.
- Drive strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Serve as a mentor and coach for PM I and PM II team members.
- Establish and refine PMO processes and best practices.
- Assist in project portfolio management and resource prioritization.
- Communicate project status and outcomes to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 5+ years of project management experience, including managing programs or portfolios.
- Demonstrated expertise in transportation and logistics projects.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Expert-level proficiency in project management tools, methodologies and concepts.
- Advanced PM certification (e.g., PgMP, PMI-RMP) preferred.
