• Partner with Relationship Manager in underwriting, managing and structuring revolving secured credit facilities, and amortizing term loans secured by consumer, and commercial assets, according to the Bank established guidelines and policies.
  • Assist with due diligence/analysis with new client relationships, opportunity memos as appropriate.
  • Co-manage commercial relationships by analyzing financial data to determine the merits of specific loan requests and recommend structure as well as managing the client relationship.
  • Make presentations on specific loans and participate in the bank's loan approval process, recommending approval and an appropriate structure of credits.
  • Analyze and create financial loan write-ups to generate new loans.
  • Work with credit team to accurately risk rate loans/credits.
  • Manage the renewal process by working with the Relationship Manager, the client and the credit department including increase/amendment/waiver.
  • Partner with the Relationship Manager as the point of contact for the client; acting as a liaison to the Credit Department, the Commercial support staff and other internal business partners
  • Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with established BOH credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ongoing monitoring of performance triggers, credit/covenant compliance, and broader market developments.
  • Develop problem loan credit solutions.
  • Responsible for credit risk and quality of the portfolio.
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Produce or supervise the production of complex financial cashflow models and presentation materials to facilitate transaction ratings.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree. MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus.
  • 10 plus years of banking or private credit lending experience with direct portfolio management experience.
  • Familiarity across a range of asset types; comfort working with novel or esoteric collateral is a strong plus.
  • Understanding of key operating risks of non-bank finance company borrowers, and financial assets.
  • Produce complex financial cashflow models to support underwriting packages
  • Stay current on market developments, regulatory changes, trends across ABS and structured credit markets.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of underwriting, credit analysis, legal documentation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of credit policy and procedures and able to accurately risk-rate loans/credits according to BOH policy
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong work ethic, high integrity, and alignment with the bank’s long-term growth vision.

The salary range for this full-time position is $225,000.00 annually - $275,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits

Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
