We focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for day to day activities of managing consulting projects including leadership and interaction with other team members, professionals from other firms involved in the engagement, and client personnel.
  • Apply business, economics, finance, accounting and analytical skills to various client situations and practice disciplines (e.g., financial modeling, ratio and comparable company analysis, review/analysis of financial statements and projections, assessing business plans, valuations, conducting due diligence on balance sheet and profit and loss statement items, etc.).
  • Prepare complex financial projections and worksheets to model business processes and/or actual or hypothetical transactions. Create detailed and innovative quantitative models that solve business problems based on key performance metrics and quantify the impact of problems and solutions.
  • Some portion of this individual’s time will also be spent researching, analyzing, and tracking communications and media industry trends, events, and specific company developments – a great platform on which to quickly learn about industry structure and competitive dynamics, as well as gain industry expertise.
  • Maintain detailed working paper records reflecting assumptions, methodologies and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks.
  • Work to ensure a quality product, as well as delivery of all work within established timeframes.
  • Prepare draft written analyses and other reports for third parties, as necessary, on the project scope, findings and/or results of activities.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and quantitative exhibits for third parties, as necessary, on the project scope, findings and/or results of activities.
  • Organize information to facilitate effective data access and analysis.
  • Maintain professional image within the firm and project same to those outside the firm.
  • Identify new business opportunities by maintaining a strong network externally and building a more cohesive network cross-segment and intra-practice
  • Leverage prior – and build new – professional networking relationships with corporate management teams, which will lead to new business opportunities
  • Work with colleagues to produce business pitch materials, create tailored sales presentations, and attend new business pitches via conference call or in person
  • Take an active role in new business meetings as part of the preliminary pitch team
  • Educate peers on client wins, including the steps taken to identify the opportunity and close the business
  • Effectively manage client teams including driving “to do” meetings, strategy sessions and monthly and quarterly measurement and reporting
  • Be a mentor to mid- and junior-level employees
  • Advance FTI’s Corporate Finance practice, including active involvement in internal knowledge share activities, industry relationship development, and external networking through speaking and industry events • Develop a full understanding of all of the Corporate Finance practice and FTI’s service offerings and be proficient enough to discuss them fluently in any sales situation
  • Provides hands-on executive leadership in interim C-suite roles (e.g., CEO, CFO, COO, CRO) to stabilize operations and drive performance improvement during periods of disruption, transformation, or distress.
  • Brings deep situational leadership experience, capable of stepping into complex environments to lead businesses through restructurings, carve-outs, integrations, or strategic pivots.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to boards, PE sponsors, and executive teams, offering a steady hand during leadership gaps or strategic transitions.
  • Leverages a track record of value creation through interim mandates across industries, with a focus on EBITDA improvement, working capital optimization, and operational turnarounds.
  • Partners with clients in high-stakes situations including liquidity crises, stakeholder negotiations, post-merger integration, or regulatory investigations.
  • Draws on cross-functional teams to implement pragmatic solutions, not just advise — ensuring execution of rapid impact initiatives.
  • Skilled in aligning stakeholders, managing change, and delivering measurable outcomes under tight timelines.
  • Backed by the firm's multidisciplinary platform, with access to deep expertise in restructuring, performance improvement, M&A, and transformation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 12 years experience in Finance or Accounting/Audit.
  • Minimum 12 years experience working with Corporate Finance and Accounting principles.
  • Minimum 12 years experience with Financial Modeling, Valuations, and Due Diligence.
  • This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices.

Preferred Skills

  • MBA.
  • CPA and/or CFE.
  • Prior experience in the communications, media, consulting or restructuring fields.
  • Ability to interface with team members and client in demanding, deadline-driven.
  • Proficiency with PC environment and related software, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, multi-task environment; demonstrate willingness to research, analyze and develop new skills.
  • Maintain flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and assigned engagements due to changing deadlines, changing deliverables and changing task priorities.
  • Familiarity with internet based financial research resources for corporate information, SEC filings, competitive data, etc.
  • General knowledge of corporate bankruptcy process and procedures.
  • General knowledge of the litigation process and procedures.
