Job Description

The Sr. Project Engineer for Special Execution (SPX) is responsible for gathering all the requirements, designing the displaying, operating instructions and prototype builds for all the special execution builds for the manufacturing plant. The role requires close collaboration with various departments for ensure these promotional/expansion executions are designed, item structure/work definition are implemented in the ERP system to drive the proper signal for planning and handed off to the Operations team to execute the builds. The individual must possess the ability to execute manage many executions at once, manage close attention to detail and ensure system is reflected of the latest revision of the commercial requirement

Key Responsibilities

  • Work cross functionally with channel, packaging engineering, customer supply chain, Ops Supply chain, and operations teams to ensure the design of pallet display meets customer requirements, distribution dimension requirements and Operations capabilities. The individual will leverage Tops Load Max Pro software to display the displays
  • Create all the design & OMS for the operations team to execute along with carrying out changes that may be requested from customers through multiple revisions until the final commitment
  • Execute all the training & protype builds with operations leads and sign off process
  • Manage the Oracle item structure (Bill of materials) set up and all changes in the Oracle system. Additionally coordinating with supply planning teams for changes with transition builds.
  • Manage the creation of Oracle work definition which includes defining the operations, resource, rates and integration with the item structure into the operations
  • Drive improvements projects with Operations team to reduce cycle time in the manufacturing process contributing to the operational excellence. Implement all the rate improvements into the Oracle work definition

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Industrial Engineering of Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of manufacturing or business experience, or equivalent years of experience
  • Understanding of ERP
  • Previous facilitator/coaching exposure/project participation where problem solving, process development and/or behavior change methods and tools have been used
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent project teams with time constraints
  • Must have oral and written communications skills for presentations to all levels management
  • Visio process flow documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tops Load Max Pro
  • Lean Six Sigma Training
  • Proficiency in project management tools or project management certification
