Major Responsibilities

  • Deliver responsive, high-quality IT support to ensure uninterrupted operations across accounting, tax, and consulting platforms
  • Administer and maintain hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises systems, Microsoft 365, and Azure cloud services; monitor and manage Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage, DNS, networking, and compliance configurations.
  • Manage Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD), including user provisioning, GPOs, and security policies.
  • Support and optimize Microsoft 365 applications critical to client collaboration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and data protection policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Evaluate and deploy new technologies that align with firm-wide IT strategy and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2).
  • Perform system installations, upgrades, and patch management to maintain performance and security.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure, configurations, and support procedures.
  • Deliver technical expertise for audits, migrations, and onboarding, and manage escalated support issues in coordination with the Help Desk.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by IT leadership.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration or a related technical role.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including administration and security best practices.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as Citrix, VMware vSphere, or Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Strong understanding of networking, including DNS
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service, with strong verbal and written communication skills, high ethical standards, and professionalism in handling sensitive systems and data.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Endpoint Manager.
  • Experience with CCH applications.
  • Scripting proficiency (PowerShell, IaaS).
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying, analyzing, and managing relational databases.
  • Understanding of SOC 2 compliance requirements and IT audit practices.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Azure Administrator Associate).
