Position Summary

The Visual Communications and Web Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing Albright College's brand identity and digital presence. This position will collaboratively develop, implement, and maintain cohesive visual communications across digital and print platforms while ensuring the college website remains engaging, accessible, and user-friendly. The ideal candidate combines creative vision with technical expertise to support the college's strategic communication goals.

Essential Responsibilities

Website Management

  • Maintain and update Albright College's website, ensuring content remains current, relevant, and accessible
  • Collaborate with departments to create and optimize web pages that serve their specific needs
  • Monitor website analytics and implement improvements based on user behavior and engagement metrics
  • Ensure website compliance with ADA accessibility standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website technical issues as they arise

Graphic Design

  • Create compelling visual content for digital platforms, including social media graphics, email templates, and web banners
  • Design print materials including brochures, viewbooks, posters, and other promotional items
  • Develop infographics and data visualizations to effectively communicate institutional information
  • Maintain consistent implementation of Albright's visual identity across all materials
  • Create and edit photography and video content as needed

Brand Management

  • Ensure all visual communications adhere to Albright College's brand guidelines
  • Assist in developing and refining visual brand standards
  • Serve as a resource for departments seeking guidance on proper logo usage and visual identity

Project Management

  • Manage multiple design and web projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and external vendors
  • Document processes and maintain organized files of design assets and web content

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Digital Media, or related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in graphic design and website management
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with content management systems (WordPress preferred)
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design principles
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both print and digital design work
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail

Preferred

  • Experience in higher education marketing or communications
  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices
