Job Description of Sr. Advanced Engineer for analytical lab

As UOP companies in China grow and expand, we seek technical personnel to join our team. We invite you to join UOP's Analytical team as a Senior Advanced Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with customer service team, product development team:

  • Facing with customer service team and product development team to understand the testing needs and allocate resource on it accordingly.
  • Develop and improve methods, protocols, and tools to support new strategies and business needs.
  • Lead capital investment projects by working with X-functions in ZJG plant.
  • Customer on-site analytical support per business needs.
  • Manage planning and execution of studies and distribution of results in a timely manner.
  • Development of expertise and contribute to organizational growth.
  • Enhance laboratory operations by promoting internal/external communications and ensuring sustainable knowledge sharing.
  • Connect with global analytical teams, share strategy and local needs to ensure integration in the global roadmap.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality procedures.

Qualifications

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s degree or PhD with at least 10 years in chemistry, materials, catalysis, or petrochemical engineering.
  • Competent in analytical chemistry and material characterization, using various tools to solve complex problems and offer solutions.
  • Effective communicator, fostering collaboration among functions for collective performance.
  • Possesses local and global perspective to achieve innovation goals.
  • Fluent spoken and proficient written English.
  • Team-oriented, customer-focused, result-driven, able to handle pressure and self-motivated.
