Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. This role can be based in our San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Chicago, or New York City offices.

Our Sales Strategy & Operations organization is responsible for building and maintaining the operational foundation that enables our sales organization to run effectively and efficiently. This individual will act as an advisor to executives in the sales and sales strategy organizations and is responsible for helping crack the most important strategic and operational problems facing the business.

As a Sales Strategy & Operations Senior Associate, you will be responsible for leading, executing, and scaling planning processes in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders. The Senior Associate will also be responsible for partnering with senior sales executives and other stakeholders to assess business performance and derive actionable insights focused on driving revenue growth, sales productivity, and customer value.

The Senior Associate should have a strong strategic mindset, excellent analytical and communications skills and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive critical business decisions. The candidate should also be able to handle highly sensitive, confidential, and non-routine information, have high attention to detail, be open-minded to challenge the status quo, and work in a rapidly changing organization while inspiring excellence from themselves and business partners.

Responsibilities :

  • Own strategic planning processes through data-driven recommendations (e.g., financial planning, customer segmentation, headcount) for the global LinkedIn Sales Solutions (LSS) business)
  • Establish strong working relationships with peers in other Sales Operations teams and cross-functional partners (business operations, sales leadership, finance, and systems teams) to make progress against key strategic initiatives.
  • Advise senior members of the sales organization on growing and optimizing their businesses by making data-driven, actionable recommendations that help them achieve their long-term strategic priorities
  • Oversee and offer recommendations on various strategic, cross-functional projects that influence LinkedIn’s Go-To-Market approach
  • Present insights and recommendations to executives and global sales operations partners

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, analytical, or related field
  • 4+ years' experience in a strategic or analytical role, including Investment Banking, Consulting, Finance, Business Operations, Sales Operations, or other analytical/operational role(s)
  • 2+ years' experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with data analysis or financial modeling
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proven track record in structuring complex issues, navigating intricate data sets, developing solutions, and producing high-quality executive presentations.
  • Strong communication skills, including proficient engagement with senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to forge strong partnerships and effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Expertise in SQL, with comprehensive knowledge of data queries and database management.
  • Proficient in Data Visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
  • A motivated individual who challenges the status quo and consistently seeks innovation.
  • Skilled at resolving complex problems associated with high-priority strategic initiatives.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $96,000 to $156,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
